Otrdien, 6. oktobrī, Ministru kabineta sēdē izskatīts un atbalstīts Finanšu ministrijas sagatavotais izdevumu samazināšanas un strukturālo reformu ieviešanas plāns 2009. gadam. Plāna mērķis ir nodrošināt pārraudzību valsts 2009. gada budžeta grozījumos paredzēto reformu ieviešanai.
Plāns sagatavots atbilstoši ministriju un centrālo valsts iestāžu sniegtajai informācijai par plānotajiem pasākumiem valsts 2009. gada budžeta grozījumos iekļauto izdevumu samazinājumu nodrošināšanai un strukturālo reformu ieviešanai ar kopējo fiskālo ietekmi 500 milj. latu apmērā.
Ar Ministru kabineta rīkojumu noteikts, ka turpmāk par plāna izpildi būs atbildīgas attiecīgās nozaru ministrijas un citas centrālās valsts iestādes. Ministrijām un citām centrālajām valsts iestādēm, sākot ar šā gada 1. oktobri, katru ceturksni būs jāsniedz Finanšu ministrijai informācija par plānā ietverto pasākumu īstenošanu. Finanšu ministrija reizi ceturksnī apkopos iesniegtos datus un publicēs tos savā mājas lapā.
